What to Expect in Japan and your Specific Hospital

As a midwife helping you birthing without fear is one of my main goal . We'll look at how we can view labour positively.  We’ll talk about pain and discuss the question “Is childbirth necessarily painful?”​​

We will go through all the stages of birth, the sensations that accompany each stage and what you can do to receive/provide the best support for each stage - looking at breathing, positions, activities and other comfort measures.

We will also touch on interventions, what they are, why they might be necessary, and what you can do to minimize the chance of needing any interventions.

Also we will consider what it’s like giving birth in Japan as a whole from a cultural point of view and also what you could expect to happen during labour at your own particular hospital here.​

​And because birth is just the beginning of new adventure 

we have to talk about what happens next! :

We’ll talk about being a parent : what it means for you, how do you prepare for this big change in your life?

What are your concerns about baby’s care? Breastfeeding? What is a newborn baby? How to offer to him/her security, the comfort he/she’ll need?

Details : Private classes will be at your place or online and I recommend two sessions to a full preparation (of course if you need more it's possible!)

Fees :

One private session at your home : 10.000 JPY per couple for 2,5 hours

Online class via skype or group class : 8000 JPY per couple for 2,5 hours

​

From September 2024 my fees will increase :

One private session at your home : 12.000 JPY per couple for 2,5 hours

Online class via skype or group class : 10.000 JPY per couple for 2,5 hours
